Humboldt Explorer

Humboldt Deck PlanHumboldt Explorer is a comfortable and modern 34 metre motor yacht. Construction on the yacht began in August 2009 and by July 2010 she was diving Wolf and Darwin Islands. Built as a lower profile cruiser, with only 2 decks and a sun deck, Humboldt Explorer offers a more steady ride through the often choppy waters of the Galapagos Islands.

Humboldt Explorer departs San Cristobal on Mondays for its 7 night / 18 dive itinerary, spending 3.5 days around Darwin and Wolf Islands. The itinerary includes a land visit to North Seymour Island to see the large colonies of Blue Footed Boobies and Frigate Birds (sightings of Sea Lions and Marine Iguanas are also common) and a shore excursion to the beautiful highlands of Santa Cruz Island to see the giant tortoises in their natural habitat. You can also walk around Puerto Ayora town and visit the Charles Darwin Research Station on your own.
