Waisalima Beach Resort is situated in a secluded bay on the North-Eastern side of Kadavu, approximately 45 minutes by boat.

This “eco” friendly adventure getaway is nestled amongst a coconut grove along a one kilometre white, sandy beach. The resort is self-sufficient with fresh produce delivered by local farmers. Fruit and vegetables are organically grown on site.

Waisalima Resort is close to one of Kadavu's main diving attractions: The Great Astrolabe Reef.

The Great Astrolabe Reef is recognised as a serious location for avid scuba divers and beginners alike. Alive with astonishingly healthy Acropora gardens, laden soft coral ledges, shark alleys, awesome caves, turtle lairs, and wall drifts.

The biodiversity of all coral species is outstanding. The marine life, especially in Naigoro Passage Marine Reserve is extremely impressive.

Accommodation & Amenities

Accommodation: The resort offers a range of accommodation to suit all budgets from Standard bures to deluxe bures. The deluxe bures are conveniently located at the waters edge and comes equipped with private en-suites.

All the bures are constructed in traditional Fijian style using all local timbers and have screened windows and hammocks between the palms for your relaxation.

The Standard bures and dormitories offer affordable beachfront accommodation. They are situated close to the amenities block and offer two hot showers, two toilets and two washtubs, which are available for your convenience.

Amenities: Waisalima is home to Boto restaurant and bar. The local chefs specialise in traditional Fijian feasts, along with a number of international dishes while the bar is well stocked. There is a small boutique; on site dive operator and laundry services can be arranged on request. Generators power Waisalima.

Activities: Activities available on the island include scuba diving, kayaking, snorkelling, fishing, bird watching and mat making. Village tours with kava tasting and island sunset cruises can also be arranged.

Diving: From Waisalima the “Great Astrolabe Reef” is only minutes away. The reef extends along the north eastern and east southern coast of Kadavu and Ono Island. It is known as one of the world’s premier diving locations offering a great diversity and spectacular coral colonies. The healthy reef systems are full of integrating inflated corals, giant gorgonian fans, diverse marine life, hard and soft corals, walls, tunnels, drop-offs and pelagic fish life.
