 The resort offers 3 boat dives a day,
unlimited house reef diving and not to be
missed excursion to the nearby island
including the well-known islands of Sipadan
and Mabul. There are 30 or so dive sites in
and around Mataking and the surrounding
islands of Pandanan, Bohayan and Buhai Dulang.
Barracudas, rainbow runner, turtles,
trevallies, tuna, goby, frogfish, mandarin
fish and other rare species of fish cruise the
surrounding waters.
Varied
species of nudibranch and other macro
creatures, which have made the western reef
their home, can also be found. The marine life close to shore is just
as magnificent as those found in the deep
end. The Alice Channel, which is about 100
meters deep and stretches across to Sipadan
Island, also offers some exhilarating
encounters with marine life.
