dive Palau liveaboardsOcean Hunter III is the latest and most luxurious addition to the Ocean Hunter fleet in Palau. The boat represents 25 years of knowledge in the liveaboard industry and like all of Ocean Hunter liveaboards was designed by divers, for divers. Originally built and launched in 1978 as a research vessel by the Australian Institute of Maritime Science (AIMS), this 29 metre steel vessel underwent a complete refit and renovation and moved to her new home of Palau in 2008. Furthermore, Ocean Hunter III has been designed for professional underwater photography, TV and film production.

Ocean Hunter III dives the reefs of Palau year round offering 7 and 10 night departures, with the option for special charters to places such as Yap.

Cabins

2 Standard cabins (Cabins 2 & 5: one queen size bed, one single), 4 Deluxe cabins (Cabins 3, 4, 6 & 9: one king size bed, one single) and 2 upper deck Master Staterooms with 24" TV (one king size bed, one single) all with private head, shower and air conditioning.

Salon

The large dining room seats 18 with espresso machine, ice maker, mini bar and 32" TV. The comfortable salon has sofas, an entertainment system with 48" TV and library. The computer room has email and photo / video editing services.

Food/Meals

Fresh, low fat, gourmet meals and snacks including Palauan, Italian, Mediterranean, French and Japanese cuisines. Special dietary requests can be catered for with advance notice.

Beverages

Filtered water is included. Additional cost for soft drinks, beer, wine and spirits.

Photographic Facilities

Sizeable working area, 110, 220 and 415 volt electrical outlets and extra storage space; powerful PC's for movie and video editing with download, email and cd burning services.

Upper Deck - wheelhouse, spacious sun deck with 2 Jacuzzis, master stateroom. Main Deck - salon, galley, dining room, semi-dry gear room, dive deck with individual storage bins. Lower Deck - standard cabin, deluxe cabin.

Production Support—1.6 tons hydraulic crane offers lifting capacity for most ROV's, underwater cameras, and Mini-subs; enclosed and air conditioned lab for scientific research and film production; underwater scooter; 1200 Watt HMI lights to backlight corals, UV filters, caves and wrecks.
