Nusa Island Retreat is set on a sheltered white sandy point which offers safe swimming and encompassing views back across the aqua blues of Kavieng Harbour. It exudes a relaxed and easy-going feel from the moment you set foot on the beach and bury your toes in the sand.

The Retreat is constructed using a mix of PNG hardwoods & local New Ireland (Niu Ailan) ‘bush material’ to create traditionally styled bungalows with an island vernacular, designed to blend in with the natural environment. Accommodation is in the form of simple yet high quality free standing bungalows, either elevated along the beachfront or perched over water. The rooms boast comfortable furnishings and large verandahs to ensure there’s ample space to kick back and indulge in the views.

Being a relatively small facility of 11 rooms, ensures limited numbers and affords a private, relaxed holiday environment with personalised service and attention to guests.
