Located on a working cocoa and coconut plantation 5 minutes drive from the town of Kokopo. The resort is situated on the beach front overlooking Pigeon Island and the volcano, Mount Tavurvur. From the balcony of the luxury, seaside units, you can witness the spectacular views of Mount Tavurvur and the magnificent sunsets at day’s end.

Snorkel in safe waters amongst the prolific fish life, enhanced by regular visits from the local turtle and dolphin population. Other available activities include: canoeing, tennis, volleyball, pitch 'n' putt golf.

A number of 4WD safaris and adventure tours also operate daily. The highlight being a safari to the crater of Yasur Volcano, where you can witness the glowing vents of lava and magma spurting into the night’s sky.

Rapopo Plantation Resort

The resort inhabits a large colonial-style property set in the middle of a unique tropical environment. Set against the stunning backdrop of Mount Tavurvur, Rapopo Plantation Resort is a great place to getaway and enjoy some of the diving. Situated near the town of Kokopo, 20 minutes from Rabaul. Rapopo Resort is a colonial style property set on an old copra plantation, overlooking Pigeon Island and Mount Tarvuvur.

Accommodation:The Deluxe rooms offer air conditioning and
private bathroom facilities. The standard Plantation rooms offer ceiling fans and shared use of bathroom facilities.

The Beach Houses are suitable for groups and families they are fully furnished, air conditioned and have a kitchen and laundry. All rooms have cable television.
