Discovery Palawan

Philippines Dive LiveaboardDiscovery Palawan was originally built in 1972 in Groningen, Holland as a three-masted schooner to cruise the Caribbean and was subsequently converted into a training ship for a Danish navigation school. In 2006, she was refitted to serve as an adventure cruise ship in the Philippines, then known as the "Hans Christian Andersen". In 2013, she was renamed Discovery Palawan, undergoing a US $1.5 million renovation for a fresh, modern look.

Discovery Palawan offers full diving and non-diving programmes. Non-divers enjoy a full days of snorkelling, island visits, kayaking and beach hopping. Cruises operate year round and there are 2 routes:

Late March to Mid June: for Divers only
7 days / 6 nights Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park with an option to add on Cagayancillo and Calusa ex Puerto Princesa.
In Cagayancillo and Calusa, guests can expect to see offshore pinnacles, sea fan lined corridors, colorful soft corals and more macro critters than at Tubbataha.

Mid October to Mid March: for Divers and Non-Divers
8 days / 7 nights Pandan Island, Coron and Apo Reef ex Batangas

In between, Discovery Palawan runs a transition trip between Anilao, Batangas and Puerto Princesa, and vice versa.
