In 2000, having dived for sheer pleasure in Bali for years, Tony & Dot joined forces with Wayan Ambek, a local divemaster and businessman, to build their perfect dive centre & resort.
Bringing professional western-standards, the Tulamben Wreck Divers Team offer a safe and fun diving environment for all their guests. Opening in April 2003, from humble beginnings, Tulamben Wreck Divers is now one of the largest and longest established dive centres in Tulamben.

Tulumban Wreck Divers Resort and Restaurant is a small, exclusive boutique resort located on the main street of Tulamben, approximately 3.5 hours drive from the international airport.

The resort has 13 rooms ranging from Superior, Deluxe and Penthouse Rooms featuring spectacular views of Mount Agung from the upstairs rooms. 10 Beachfront Villas are located in a separate complex, 1 km out from Tulamben. The villas overlook the beach and each villa has a lovely pool. All rooms have air conditioning, ceiling fans, refrigerator, mini bar, tea & coffee making facility, TV & DVD player, hot and cold water, private facilities and are fitted with locally hand made teak furniture.

Tulamben Wreck Divers is a short 3 minute walk down the road from the main road. The Dive Centre provides shore dives on the USAT Liberty wreck and surrounding reefs and can also organise local boat dives and excursions to Amed and Tepekong. The USAT Liberty is directly situated near the beach on Bali’s northeast coast – literally a short walk from the front door of Tulamben Wreck Divers.

The wreck is an absolute underwater wonderland of marine life – schools of trevally, bream, fusilier and anthias mill all over and around the wreck – often following you during the dive. Batfish, large sweetlips, angelfish, butterfly fish and anemone fish hover under ledges and in crevices. Lionfish, scorpionfish, hawkfish, bumphead parrot fish, pufferfish and coral trout are everywhere – as are the gobies, blennies, shrimps and dottyback out on the sand flats.

The wreck is simply alive with life; corals, sponges and gorgonia fans are breathtaking along with the thousands of invertebrate life within them.
