Borneo Divers, founded in 1984, was the first full service professional dive operation in Borneo. Company headquarters are in the modern city of Kota Kinabalu, and their outstanding dive destinations include the world famous Sipadan on the East coast of Sabah and wreck diving off the island of Labuan and Mamutik, just a 15 minute boat ride from the city of Kota Kinabalu.
Borneo Divers Mabul Dive Resort occupies a beautiful stretch of white sandy beach and was specifically built with divers needs in mind. Easy access is provided for both shore and boat diving. Accommodation is provided in attractive and comfortable chalets, all with a view of the beach and the Borneo mainland in the distance.
Borneo Divers Mabul Resort has an allocation of 14 permits out of the 120 persons permitted to visit Sipadan per day and can only guarantee one day diving to Sipadan Island for DIVERS only if you stay on a minimum of a 5 Days / 4 Nights Diver Package.
To reach Mabul Island, you will need to take a flight from Kuala Lumpur or Kota Kinabalu to Tawau. From Tawau Airport it is a 90 minute road transfer to Semporna Jetty. From Semporna, a 45 minute to 1 hour boat transfer will have you reaching your dive resort.

The Dining Hall complex is the centre of social activity at the resort housing the restaurant which serves a range of Asian and western cuisines, and also serving as the reception and entertainment area. The well equipped Conference Centre/Event Hall is attached to the Dining Hall.
There is an ample choice of spaces to relax in at the end of your dive day. The resort has several bar areas and the swimming pool provides an inviting place to relax and swim or sunbathe. There are beach cabanas on the white sandy beach where you can shelter from the sun with a drink or indulge in a soothing massage, manicure or pedicure in the shade.
The resort has a well stocked gift shop, library and tv room, professional underwater video and filming centre and wireless internet broadband access.
Borneo Divers Mabul full service dive centre is located right at the jetty for convenient access to the dive boats and house reef diving and snorkeling off the jetty. The dive centre offers daily boat dives on modern speedboats, equipment rental, drying area and scuba courses.
Borneo Divers Mabul Resort boasts 30 units in a semi-detached chalet configuration.
Each chalet is constructed of beautiful hardwood in a local style and contains two deluxe rooms with a private verandah overlooking the Celebes Sea.
The resort has 17 Deluxe Twin rooms, 7 Deluxe Double rooms, 4 Runggus Deluxe Twin rooms and 2 Runnggus Deluxe Double rooms.
All rooms are air-conditioned with ensuite bathroom, hot and cold shower, ceiling fan, dressing table, coffee/tea making facilities and hair dryer (upon request from reception).
A Diver package is inclusive of 3 boat dives a day (around Mabul, Kapalai, Si Amil or Sipadan) with a divemaster and unlimited jetty house reef dives without a guide (except on arrival and departure days). Tanks, weights and weight belt are provided. Diving is subject to the dive schedules and regulations of the dive centre.
Non Divers can snorkel off the jetty or are allowed on the diving boat (subject to space availability) one time only per day for snorkelling without a guide.
Dive courses are also offered and should be organised in advance.
Between dives, you can soak up the sun on the powdery white sand of the private beach in front of the resort. Enjoy a stroll around the island or an afternoon swim or snorkel in the warm waters of the Celebes Sea.
