Rock Islands Aggressor

Rock Islands Aggressor-Layout.jpgThe 32 metre Rock Islands Aggressor has a 9 metre beam and is built and powered for comfort, safety and stability. She is diesel powered and cruises at 10 knots, has a beautiful spacious salon, 15 metres of sundeck with shading, chaise lounges, deck chairs, bar, grill, and a complete photo/video centre. Rock Islands Aggressor accommodates 18 passengers in 9 spacious cabins.

Seven-day charters are Sunday to Sunday with 5.5 days of diving. Diving begins Monday and ends Saturday morning. Monday through Friday there are four dives offered each day and a night dive on three evenings. On Saturday a half-day of diving is offered with a cocktail party planned for 6pm and dinner ashore.

 

All dives are made from the 10 metre, 18-passenger dive tender which is lowered into the water by a hydraulic cradle. Two trips to shore are provided during the week to Peleliu and Ulong Beach.

8 Deluxe Staterooms located on the Lower Deck with queen (lower) and single (upper) bunk style beds and picture window; 1 Double Stateroom opening onto the Dive Deck with double (lower) and double (upper) bunk style beds and port hole window through the door looking to the dive deck. All staterooms have private facilities, hair dryer, closet and individual A/C climate control.

Spacious lounge and dining area with entertainment centre featuring TV, DVD, stereo and library of movies, games and books

Food/Meals

A variety of American feasts, barbecues and local cuisine is offered. Breakfast includes fresh fruits, hot entrees, cereals and juices. Lunches are buffet-style, featuring hot soups, homemade breads, salads and sandwiches and/or entrees. Dinners are chef prepared and include salads, vegetables, seafood, beef or chicken with a fresh homemade dessert. Fresh mid-morning and mid-afternoon snacks are also served.

Please advise any special dietary requirements well in advance. Certain special dietary and beverage requests may not be available due to the remote nature of this location so we highly recommend you bring these items with you.

* The last night dinner is ashore and is the only meal not included in the cruise

Beverages included are: fruit juices, soft drinks, iced water, tea, coffee, and a limited selection of local beer and wine.

Due to the high duty charged on liquor, we suggest you bring your favorite brand.

Electricity

Standard US 110 Volts.

Photographic Facilities

Complete digital photo/video centre including a PC dedicated for downloading photos. The Photo pro is available for free coaching with equipment rental. Photo equipment is available to rent separately or as a complete set up. There is a strobe charging station and a large camera table available. Guests should bring their own battery chargers.

Decks

Partially covered upper relaxation deck with chairs, tables and hammocks. The main deck has a bbq grill, outdoor seating area, wet bar, salon and dining area, entertainment area, galley, captain and crew quarters and the bridge. The lower deck contains the dive deck with personal lockers, fresh water showers, rinse tanks & camera table and the staterooms.

GPS, Satellite Phone, Cellular Phone, radar, VHF radio. Email is available onboard through the satellite system (charges apply).

Up to 4 dives per day plus an additional night dive offered on 3 nights

Dive Guides

Dive briefings are provided along with in water support for u/w photography, videography and critter spotting. However direct supervision of dives is not offered.

Courses

A variety of specialty courses are offered such as Advanced Open Water, UW Photography, Nitrox, Master Diver and more.

Gear Hire

A full line of Aqua Lung rental gear is available onboard including regulators, BCDs, Dive Computers, and Night Lights.

Support Vessel

35-foot custom built, 18-passenger high-speed dive skiff which is boarded at the main deck and then lowered into the water by a hydraulic cradle. Tanks remain on the skiff and they are filled in place with either air or nitrox.

Shore trips to Peleliu and Ulong Beach; cocktail party onboard then dinner ashore on the last night.

Note

Due to the currents in the Palau, we suggest divers bring safety device(s) such as Dive Alert, safety sausage, Life Line etc. A dive computer is mandatory.

80 cubic ft tanks are provided. All tanks have K-valves (American type); DIN (European) adaptors are required. Nitrox is available for an additional fee.

Direct supervision of dives is not provided. Diving gloves are not permitted to be worn.
