This ecolodge and dive resort is modeled after a historic Korsaean village with “lohm”, the traditional Kosraean house or cottage, lining the ocean front, huge towering trees shading the buildings and a large community gathering place. The resort has an ecological and environmentally-friendly focus, and is actively involved in coral reef monitoring and protection projects. .
The spacious, individual cottages are built in traditional Micronesian style. Constructed from locally woven reed siding with raised floors and a high pitched, thatch roof. Timbers are wrapped and tied throughout the cottage, from the spacious porch to the large bathroom and garden shower. Strategically placed torches provide night lighting along the paths. Modern amenities have been tastefully added for your comfort. These include queen size beds, draped with mosquito netting, ceiling fans, electricity, hot and cold running water, table and chairs, refrigerator and coffee making facilities.Wireless internet reaches some of the cottages.
There are Standard Cottages, 2 larger Family sized cottages and 1 Suite which has air conditioning in the bedroom and the most privacy.
The resort’s open air Inum Restaurant has a regional reputation as one of the best in Micronesia. Specializing in local and international dishes, the dinner menu changes nightly, depending on the availability of fresh local produce.
The PADI 5 Star Dive Centre offers the only Nitrox and technical diving on Kosrae.
At the Kosrae Village Resort guests can enjoy sunbathing, dining and diving as well as a variety of other activities such as: rainforest hikes, kayaking, surfing and bird watching. The island of Kosrae abounds with natural beauty and treasures that visitors are welcome to explore.
