Tufi Dive Resort is perched on the slopes of Mt Trafalgar, surrounded by lush, tropical rainforest and overlooks the picturesque fjords, sea and mountains. This remote property is the perfect place to get away from it all and experience the local cultures and scenery for both divers and non-divers alike.
Set in a very unique and pristine region of PNG, the clear waters surrounding Tufi hosts some of the best diving in the region. From large coral outcrops and shelves to sandy cays, deep fjords and the surrounding rainforests, Tufi is an adventure traveller’s paradise.
Tufi is one of the only resort’s in Papua New Guinea where you fly directly into the resort. The airstrip is a 3 minute walk from the resort or a 1 minute drive.
The air-conditioned units are constructed from local timbers with internal walls lined in traditional, woven matting. The units have either a queen bed or a queen and single bed, en-suite bathroom, hot water, 24 hour electricity, bar fridge, tea / coffee making facilities and insect screens.
The Deluxe Bungalows are screened and fanned with private balconies and the Deluxe Rooms all have balconies with outdoor settings. Most bungalows overlook the Coral Sea or Tufi Fjord.
All meals are included in your stay.
The main complex houses the dining room, alfresco bar, lounge area, library, gift shop, laundry, office surrounded by a wide veranda.
Dine on a smorgasbord of local seafood, vegetables and tropical fruits in the resort dining room or enjoy a BBQ grill on the Fjord Terrace accompanied by a wide selection of wines and ice-cold beer.
Tufi also has an in-ground swimming pool with views of the fjord below and a new conference centre.
Tufi is an exciting destination for the adventurer, offering diving, snorkelling, fishing, canoeing, traditional outrigger safaris, kayaking, bushwalking / trekking, bird watching, beach BBQ’s and village visits.
Overnight village stays can be arranged where you can experience many activities like sago-making, net and spear works, tapa printing, face and body tattooing.
