Taka

Taka is a 30 metre (100 foot) steel mono hull liveaboard dive vessel. Previously operating on Australia’s Great Barrier Reef out of Cairns, Taka was built in 2004 and was custom designed for diving to feature maximum stability and comfort. Her spacious interior and exterior allows for plenty of options to find a place to relax or to mingle with other guests.

Most diving is done directly off the large, open dive deck with a tender in the water for additional safety. The open deck means more dives and longer dives can be offered (limited by your dive profiles and air consumption).

Taka can accommodate up to 30 guests in 13 air conditioned cabins ranging from lower deck quad and twin share cabins with shared bathrooms to twin / double upper deck cabins with private ensuite. An attentive crew of 12 including your dive team, skipper, boat crew and chefs will ensure you get to experience the best the Solomons has to offer.

Taka commenced diving in the Solomon Islands in February 2016 and offers the following itineraries ex Honiara throughout the year:

2 nights Best of Florida Islands departing Friday and returning Sunday
3 nights Best of Russell Islands departing Friday and returning Monday
7 nights Best of Central Province covering Russell Islands, Mary Island and Florida Islands departing Tuesday to Tuesday
10 nights Best of Solomon Islands covering Central and Western Province - Russell Islands, Marovo Lagoon, Mary Island and Florida Islands
